Interested in pursuing a nonprofit career but don’t know where to start? Looking for full-time paid summer employment? Inasmuch Foundation is happy to announce the return of the Inasmuch Community Fellowship! We are looking for intelligent college students passionate about making Oklahoma City a better place to work, live, and play. General details are provided below as well as instructions for applying.
Potential Fellows: The Inasmuch Community Fellowship embeds college students into non-profit organizations in Oklahoma City. Students accepted into the program will work with Inasmuch Foundation staff to find the best nonprofit that fits the student’s interests and skill set. Each year we partner with new organizations to participate in the fellowship program based on interest. In the past, Allied Arts, Boys and Girls Club, United Way, ReMerge, Oklahoma City Museum of Arts, Lyric Theatre, Oklahoma City Educare, and the Oklahoma City National Memorial, just to name a few, have hosted Community Fellows. When applying, students should include any nonprofits they are interested in and Inasmuch staff will explore new partnerships. Each nonprofit host utilizes our fellows differently and therefore fellows should expect to perform a wide range of tasks dependent on placement.
First-year community fellows will also be registered in the Greater Grads: Intern OKC program organized by the Oklahoma City Chamber. Intern OKC includes an afternoon kick-off and four weekly lunches where interns network with peers, develop resources for the transition from college to career and discover why Oklahoma City is the perfect place to live, work, and play. www.greatergrads.com
