Inasmuch Foundation announces $400,000 in grants
OKLAHOMA CITY – Inasmuch Foundation announced today the distribution of $400,000 in grants to 6 organizations serving Colorado Springs.
Inasmuch Foundation, founded by Edith Kinney Gaylord in 1982, supports education, health and human services and community enhancement initiatives that enrich the quality of life for Oklahomans. The foundation carries on its late founder’s interests in Colorado Springs by giving to nonprofits that are located in and directly serve the residents of the city.
Grants were awarded to organizations as follows:
- $200,000 to Cheyenne Mountain Zoological Society for the capital campaign to replace the zoo’s aquatics building and build a new guest services complex.
- $150,000 to Innovations in Aging Collaborative to mobilize and leverage community resources to implement the Age Friendly Colorado Springs Initiative.
- $25,000 to Westside CARES for the capital campaign to remodel the facility.
- $10,000 to Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region to provide medical care for animals whose owners cannot afford veterinary services.
- $10,000 to University of Colorado Colorado Springs for the Chancellor’s Leadership Class, a comprehensive leadership development program.
- $5,000 to Court Care for the Pikes Peak Region for free, licensed childcare services for low-income court-users.
