Education

Inasmuch Foundation is dedicated to improving educational outcomes for students in Oklahoma City by supporting high-quality schools, advancing systems-level reforms, and strengthening workforce development initiatives that connect education to opportunity.

Priorities in Education

The Foundation aims to transform the educational landscape in Oklahoma City, ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed in school and beyond.

Note: Expanded learning, including before- and after-school, mentoring, and school-based programs are no longer strategic priorities and proposals are unlikely to be funded.

  • In collaboration with Fuel OKC, Inasmuch Foundation invests in initiatives aimed at expanding access to high-performing schools, encompassing traditional, charter, and innovative educational models. Pre-K – 12 grantmaking also supports improving teacher recruitment and retention, governance reforms, and community partnerships to strengthen accountability and accelerate student achievement. The overarching objective is to ensure that by 2030, at least 50% of public-school students in Oklahoma City are enrolled in A- or B-rated schools.

  • Early childhood education remains a priority funding area; at this time, the Foundation is updating its grantmaking strategy in this area.

  • Inasmuch Foundation is committed to building a stronger economy by investing in workforce development initiatives that connect education to opportunity. Grantmaking focuses on programs that prepare individuals for high-demand careers through industry-recognized credentials, apprenticeships, and innovative training models.

Entrepreneurship is also a critical component of the workforce strategy. The Foundation provides grants to organizations that equip aspiring entrepreneurs with the skills, mentorship, and resources needed to launch and grow businesses — creating jobs and driving innovation in Oklahoma City.
